OTHER ACTIVITIES

In addition to the main Phoenix Scratch programme, 2ND LIVE has initiated a series of other events, including:

1. research 'drifts' and dialogues, including a day-long journey through the forests of the Second Life® world, which took in a number of conversations with SL foresters and citizens about what the virtual forest and the real forest might offer to each other - a new forest map was then produced as part of Wrights & Sites' Possible Forests project (Haldon Forest Park, Summer 2007)

2. 2ND LIVE: Island Version 2.0, a paper given as part of the 'Crossing Terrain' panel at INTERREGNUM: In Between States (PSi #14 conference, Copenhagen, August 2008)

3. Avatartist 2.0, a three-day, in-world workshop for live artists, as part of DIY5: 2008, a Live Art Development Agency initiative developed in collaboration with Arnolfini and Theatre Bristol; Artsadmin; Colchester Arts Centre; Fierce Earth, North East; New Work Network and China Plate; and Nuffield Theatre and LANWest (Exeter, September 2008)

4. REGION_FLAG_BLOCK_TERRAFORM, a presentation given as part of the 'Site - Art - Audience' symposium at Tramway (Glasgow, September 2008)
